Amazing Guide; knowledgeable and empathetic
We contacted Julie after seeing what happens when someone dies who did not prepare for death, even though that is the one certainty we all have in life. What pushed us most is the realization of the amount of work we would leave behind for the ones who are left behind, if we didn’t get our stuff in order.
Julie’s approach is both methodical and empathetic. We tend to get distracted and she used simple reminders and check-ins to help us stay on-track for the plan we had jointly put together. Julie guided us through the various things we should consider, but let us decide on the timing and importance. As you can imagine, some of the conversations we as a couple had to have, were not easy. Julie
created a safe, non-judgmental space for us to have these conversations, and where needed she leveraged her excellent communication skills to guide us through these topics. She also helped us understand how other family members would look at these topics, to make sure that we could have productive conversations with them as well.
All-in-all, we are sure that we wouldn’t be anywhere near where we are today in this project if it weren’t for Julie’s knowledge and guidance.
